We hope this blog/note finds you in good health. While you are getting ready to welcome year 2017, we want to send you lots of love and best wishes for a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
As we are preparing to welcome the new year, it's a good time to go back and revisit the memories from last year. The year 2016 has been a very positive year for us and we traveled a lot this year. This year has been extraordinary in many ways and it has witnessed some landmark events all across the globe: Brexit, the US Presidential Election, Demonetization in India, etc. It also marks some personal landmarks for us. Ria finished her PhD and started working at the Widener University in Philadelphia. Aritra started the year as a senior modeler in Freddie Mac, and is now a modeling tech lead.
This year has been a year of travel for us and it started exactly like that. We started the year with a trip down to the Big Bend National Park, in Texas, right along the US-Mexico border. We celebrated our first wedding anniversary (18th March) at the Great Smoky Mountain. This was followed up by a sudden trip to Seattle -- the Olympic Nat'l park and the Mt. Rainier Nat'l Park. We officially welcomed the summer with a road trip to Lake Michigan during the Memorial Day Weekend. The 4th of July weekend was beach time at the Outer Banks, NC. In August we took our regular summer break with a visit to the Yosemite Nat'l Park, CA. The end of summer was marked with a trip up to Maine (Acadia Nat'l Park) on the Labor Day Weekend. Well, that's not the end. We decided to end the year with a vacation around Christmas. This time we had multiple destinations. We flew in and out of Vegas, and drove to Zion Nat'l Park, Antelope Canyons, Death Valley Nat'l Park, and Joshua Tree Nat'l Park.
After all the travelling done, and with all the significant developments this year, we now bid farewell to 2016 and welcome 2017 with an open arm.
We wish you all a happy and prosperous new year. We hope that the new year brings with it lots of happiness and peace for everyone.
Sending your way lots of Love.
